The owners of the house (built in 1991) needed a thorough overhaul including changes to the facade. Interior architect P. Maas therefore asked MIXD to take over the assignment. Besides making the final design and supervising the execution, the stairs and bathroom were also designed entirely by MIXD.

In order to increase the spaciousness considerably, an open kitchen has been installed on the ground floor with a worktop that extends to the outside. New sliding doors open the house towards the garden.
